Sawney Bean's Pub opened its doors February 12th 2007. Owners Jackie Bakx, who originates from Stranraer, Scotland and husband David Bakx realized there was a need for an authentic British Pub in the Southeastern Manitoba area. Together with Jackie's mum Shona Douglas and sister Kirsty Schroeder they set out to create a truly authentic Pub experience.
Sawney Bean's Pub is a friendly, cosy atmosphere with great service, a home away from home for their guests. They serve homemade, traditional british comfort food as well as all the Canadian favourites. Sawney Bean's is the only place for authentic British food, great service and of course the best pint of Guinness this side of Dublin!
